ABOUT THE ARTIST

Esther Touson was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a graduate of the National Academy of Visual Arts of Buenos Aires, and has a degree of Professor of Arts and Professional Designer. She visited the mayor art centers of Spain, France, Italy and New York.

Esther made Aliyah with her family in 1978, and lived in Jerusalem, Emanuel, and is currently living in Ramat Beit Shemesh. She has made several personal exhibitions in Argentina and New York, and has participated in several group exhibitions in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh and Washington. Her works are part of private collections in New York, Miami, Argentina, Europe and Australia.

The artist's style can be defined as a return to the most naturalistic and vivid images. In her portraits she searches to convey the personal and unique expression of the model, in her landscapes she wishes to bring to life each element of the beautiful scenery of Israel, particularly of Jerusalem and Safed, transmitting its holiness and beauty, its color and atmosphere. For Esther the marvelous world that surround us is an unending fountain of inspiration which she blends with her own imagination and experiences.

Esther expresses in her work her love and gratitude to the Almighty, Creator and Master of the World, for having been blessed with the opportunity of communicating her inspiration to others through lines, color and light.
