Hi! My name is Brenda Ganot and I am the creator and owner of Jewish-art-and-gifts.com.
I grew up in California and made Aliyah (moved to Israel) in 1984. After graduating from the Hebrew University, my husband and I lived in Jerusalem and then moved to Beit Shemesh in 1997. I worked in the Israeli hi-tech industry in various marketing and sales positions for over 10 years and when the market crashed in 2002 I found myself without a job and looking for something new to do. I had no idea I would end up representing Israeli artists (although I LOVE Jewish art) and starting a gallery in my own home as well as creating my own website. I give credit to Rachel Berger of the Tehilla Employment Office in Jerusalem (now with Nefesh B’Nefesh) suggesting the idea that I represent Israeli artists.
During the past eight years, I have met and established relationships with over 100 different Israeli artists, all immensely talented people who enjoy creating Judaic works. For the website, I have chosen art and Jewish gifts that I believe are beautiful, meaningful, affordable and of high quality and that I think will make terrific gifts. EVERYTHING on this site is designed by Israeli artists. It is extremely important to me to do everything I can to help out Israeli artists who are struggling very hard to continue creating art amidst the difficult economic crisis.
I am happy to help organizations pick suitable gifts for donors, or to help schools choose gifts for teachers. Discounts are available for bulk orders.
I have enjoyed helping many people to choose the right Jewish gift and will do the same for you. If you need any help or have questions about any of the items on the site, contact me by clicking here: contact us Or phone the shop: 972-2-991-4143 and I’ll do my best to answer your questions.
A special thanks to my friend Annie Fried who sponsored my website and encouraged me to start it.
Thank you for coming to my site – I hope you find what you’re looking for!
