Here are some suggestions to help you in your Bar Mitzvah gift buying quest.
- If the Bar Mitzvah is reading from the Torah (which is very likely), a colorful yad (Torah pointer) by Emanuel would be very suitable and will encourage him to read again in the future.
- If the young man is religiously observant, a kiddish cup would be suitable, as the mitzvah of reciting Kiddush is his responsibility after his Bar Mitzvah. An etrog (citron) box would also be a great choice as he will need something to keep his etrog in on the Succot holiday.
- If the Bar Mitzvah boy is not very religiously observant, then we suggest buying a Hanukkah menorah which hopefully he WILL use and will proudly display in his room during the rest of the year.
- The gold plated wire sculpture of a boy holding the Torah is suitable for a serious minded young man with fine tastes. It’s the type of gift he will keep forever.
