Artist's Description:

As I have been hand-crafting original ketubot (Jewish marriage documents) for over eleven years, I always wanted to create a ketubah that would be reproduced as a limited-edition fine art print. I am pleased to say that this has been accomplished using the same state-of-the-art quality giclee printing system that I employ for the printing of my other works combined with hand-applied gold gouache. It is a pleasure to present this ketubah to the public.

A short word about the piece itself. Please note the ten wedding canopies interspersed amongst the Jerusalem architecture. These canopies correspond to the ten expressions of joy, which are included in the final blessing of the Shevah Brachot (the seven blessings recited under the chuppah/wedding canopy). These ten canopies are reminiscent of the ten wedding canopies that the A-lmighty created for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. They are set along a backdrop of Jerusalem because of the reference to The Holy City in the blessing. Jerusalem, and in particular the site of the Holy Temple, is identified as the actual location of the Garden of Eden. Thus, we have the connection of the two elements, the canopies and Jerusalem.

The text is left blank in the appropriate areas for completion. Special orders of all Traditional Texts available – please contact us with your requirements.
