Wedding Gift Suggestions

Here are our suggestions when shopping for a beautiful and unique Jewish Wedding gift:

For a traditional Jewish couple:
Judaic art prints, paintings, ketubahs or papercuts
that will decorate and add meaning to their home. If they read Hebrew, they will appreciate having a piece of artwork with Hebrew text with illuminated biblical or Jewish passages such as seen in Marci Wiesel’s and Moshe Braun’s papercuts, Zeesi’s prints and Sharon Binder’s calligraphied pieces.

Ritual items such as Shabbat candlesticks , and Seder Plates, are also a good gifts and will be used over and over. If they are regular candle lighters they will be used either by the woman of the house or by her guests.

Mezzuzot, are also a great gift as observant couples will put up mezzuzot on all the doors of their home.

Any item that will be used on the Shabbat table, is also an excellent choice.

For a less traditional Jewish couple or interfaith couple:

Ritual items such as Hanukkah Menorahs, and Seder Plates are a great gift because these are used on the two holidays most celebrated by Jewish families around the world. Once the couple has children they will most likely be having their own Seder and will appreciate having beautiful items to put on the table. At Hanukkah they most certainly will be lighting candles too so a Menorah is a good choice.

For a very Zionistic couple:

Any item from Israel, made by an Israeli artist is a good choice and that covers everything on our Judaica store. We suggest you print out the biography on the artist who made the item you are purchasing and give this along with the gift. Jordana Klein’s and Zeesi’s colorful prints of Israeli landscape and the kotel would be very special Jewish presents to remind this couple of Israel as would Marci Wiesel’s moving “Prayer for the State of Israel” – see our Gifts for Professionals page for this.
We also offer gift wrapping and greeting cards at checkout.
